We need symbols We need symbols to represent ideas. While most people will forget about 90% of what they read in this article what they read does shift opinions they have (if the argument aligns with their worldview).   We need symbols that remind us of ideas; that start a cascade of related ideas. For a symbol to be effective it must in a simple way embody the core essence of the idea.   The core essence of this article is that Unification leads to success. This is a simple statement but there are a lot of concepts buried in there.   There is a lot of stuff in unification.   There is a lot that can be said about success.   Unification is the first step to success.   Success can be prosperity, happiness, safety or whatever you choose.   We do not want to fail. Unify for Prosperity E pluribus unum Out of many, one Part 2: The Solution Unity is oneness, an undivided entity, sharing a common cause and common values.   Unity requires joining to create unity and maintenance of the unity.     Power comes from putting unity to work through solidarity.   Knowing that we are powerless due to lack of size (unity) our next step is to determine why we lack the people required to make a large and powerful organization that can influence the people we elect and empower to make decisions in the public policy process. The simplest cause of the problem can be the fact that the goal is not of interest to a large number of people but if our goal is important to the common good then the next, more complicated cause of the problem, is the fact that people are not joining the organization.   Why people join (and stay) is the focus of this article.
